  • F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL - Tightest Possible at 1333MHz

    I'm thinking about running an experiment with my G.Skill RipJaws F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL - 2x2GB 1600 CL9's.

Rather than run them at their rated 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 2T settings, I want to see if I run them at 1333 MHz how much I can tighten the timings up. All while keeping them set at 1.5V.

Who else has tried this? What should I expect to reach? where should I start?

    The rest of my build:
    i7 860
    GA-P55M-UD2
    CM Hyper 212+
    Radeon HD 4670
    Corsair CMPSU-450VX
WD Caviar Black 640GB, Seagate LP 1TB, Sony Optiarc Black 24x, CM Elite 310
    Dell UltraSharp 2208WFP (1680x1050), Windows 7 Pro x64

DDR3-1333 8-8-8-24 should be your start. Then simply test different timings.

    7-8-8-24
    7-8-7-24
    7-7-7-24...

What I would suggest is using a bandwidth benchmark test program (like Everest Ultimate) to see exactly how each setting performs. This way you can go with the BEST setting.

    Thank you
