OS: Windows 7 Pro x64
Motherboard: MSI 790fx-GD70 BIOS ver. 1.7
RAM: F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955
Just got my ram in and the computer has it at 1333MHz 9-9-9-21. After looking at the forum here I have an idea how to correct the timing to 8-8-8-21 but I wanted to run it by an admin first.
From the BIOS root menu select "Cell Menu" > select "Advanced DRAM Configuration" > change "DRAM Timing Mode" from "Auto" to "Both" > Change the following:
CAS Latency (CL) from auto to 8
tRCD from auto to 8
tRP from auto to 8
tRAS from auto to 21
An identical set (CL, tRCD....) can be found in the same menu and those would be changed in the same way.
Is this correct?
