  • DDR3 2400mhz - 2666mhz

    Hello G.Skill forums,
So I got an interesting question / problem that being I am trying to build an entirely new system on a budget since a 9700 ect is WAY out of my price range but I don't want to sacrifice either quality, or performance. But this is creating a new issue for me, because the ram I want only one person on Ebay is selling it and selling it for $400 USD. That being the G.Skill Trident 32gb kit at 2666.
But I've seen on Newegg I can get 32gb of DDR3 2400mhz ram for $160

I'm not familiar with overclocking, and the reason I want to hit at least 2666mhz is that is from what my studies have shown the sweet spot for gaming and everything else I plan on doing.
Could someone give me some guidance for this, would it be possible to get help on the forums here to figure out the timings and everything else for what I want to do for the RAM?

I'm using a Intel 4790k, on a MSI Gaming 6 Motherboard (got them both on ebay $360 for the lot, good deal right?)
Would it be better to try and talk the guy down to $200 on ebay? Or try and figure out this?
