  • 4x4gb showing only 4Gb

I got memory from an old computer/friend of mine, and I built a computer around it. Specs are:
    Motherboard: Asus Z170M-E D3
    CPU: Intel Core i7 7700 3,6GHz Socket 1151
    RAM: 4 pce 4x4 G.Skill ram (F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-17000cl11q-16gbzl)

I have the latest BIOS updated, so that the new processor is supported.

    Problem:
The computer recognises only 4Gb of each memory unit - so I get 16Gb instead of 64Gb. I have tried to tweak settings in the BIOS, but so far haven't succeeded.

Can anybody help me to get full potential of these memory units?

It is 4GB each, 16GB total.

There is no 16GB DDR3 module

      Ok. My bad...

Alright. I must then have misunderstood. Each stick says 16Gb, so I thought it is 16Gb each.

Anyway, this helps me a lot. Don't have to bang my head on the wall anymore.
