  • Did I Buy the Wrong RAM ???

    Hi,

I have an Asus LGA775 socket motherboard (P5G41C-M).

I just upgraded the CPU to the top of the line for this socket at 1333 Mhz.

The Motherboard max. bus speed is 1333 and DDR3 , 1.5v

    So I bought G Skills DDR3 - 1333Mhz (2x4GB=8) PC-10666 (F3-10666CL9D-5GBXL)

System won't boot with new ram sticks so I stuck the old stuff back in :

I see that some people configure their RAM Mhz in their BIOS...I do not have this option. I have the basic AMI BIOS V02.61.

    Am I toast ??

    Thanks.

You need to try this RAM:

    F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT

Only this model may be compatible with your motherboard.
