  • I Believe one of my sticks of ram is broken

I have G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL amd athlon x760k my problem is that when both sticks of ram are in im only getting 6 noticed in bios and the other 2 gb are hardware reserved then i tried each stick alone i would that one of the sticks show all 4gb running at 1600mhz but when i remove this one and put the other in im only getting 2048mb of memory size i got into windows and it sees all 4gb are there but only 1.9 is usable please help
p.s. my motherboard only has 2 ram slots ive tried the first stick in both slots and works good tried the second stick in both slots got the same 2048mb problem but if i try to run this stick at lower than 1600mhz like 1333mhz all 4096mb are noticed

Very strange. Increase DRAM Voltage to 1.550V and see if that works better.

If not, send them in for RMA and a replacement should work better.
