  • Please someone help me, Im going crazy.

Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this. I have recently bought a new 2x4gb kit from G.Skill but even tho I tried EVERYTHING it doesnt seem to work, the screen just wont turn on but the pc is running.
    Motherboard: ASRock G41M-VS3 2.0
    http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G41M-VS3%20R2.0/
    RAM kit: 2x4GB DDR3 1333 CL7-7-7-21 1.50v
    http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-10666cl7d-8gbxh
    CPU: Intel Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6600
    http://ark.intel.com/products/29765/...z-1066-MHz-FSB

As you can see, I have no problem supporting ddr3 1333fsb but yet the RAM doesnt work, I tried changing the ram timings on my BIOS and yet it doesnt work. I just dont know what to do, I tried both sticks separately and in both sockets still doesnt work, neither of them, but when I put back my old ram 2x2gb ddr3 cl9 it works fine. Any idea? Ive been searching for the internet for 2 days and tried everything, my bios is up to date, but nothing works so far.
Edit: Also, the timings I was able to accomplish were 7-7-7-20. For some reason I cant manually adjust timings manually, the bios wont let me, so I had to restart the bios and change some things that I cant recall right now (Ive done so many things I dont even remember what Ive done) in order to get those timings. I also tried searching for the doccp and eocp to be able to change them but my bios doesnt have that anywhere in the options menu.

    You need this RAM:

    F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT

Any other kit will not work because chip configuration has changed.

Is it because its high density? I dont seem to be able to buy that kit from Spain, do I have any other choice if I want a 8gb dual channel kit? Would any kit of the Value series work?

Yes, the older motherboards require low density. Value series ending in NT are double sided, low density.
