  • F3-2400C11D-16GSR timing. When should I be using 2T timing?

Hello, I currently have the F3-2400C11D-16GSR which is stated to run at 2400MHz with a timing of 11-13-13-31 and 2T
I'm curious at which point I should be going from 1T to 2T, as I'm currently running my ram at only 2000MHz with timings of 11-12-12-30 @ 1T.
Should I be running 2T at this point?

As long as the system is stable, you can keep it at 1T

Have you tried going tighter yet, like 11-11-11-28 / 10-11-11-28 @ 2000? Reducing the CAS latency might need a bit more voltage, but even CL9 is not out of the question at that frequency (even sub 1.65V).

I've tried playing with the timings a bit, haven't found anything stable under 10-12-12-30 at 2T yet. I'll try setting 1.65v manually and report back after trying new timings, how much over 1.65 can I go?

          ok, 10-11-11-28 @ 1t now stable with 1.65.

          Next I'll try CL9

CL9 11 -11-28 stable so far 20 minutes and counting with memtest at 1.65

Well I cannot get anything stable like 9-11-11 or 10-12-12 at 1T. it takes a while for an error to show up with memtest, but it'll show. Right now I'm testing 9-12-12 and I have a question. Which is technically better, running lower timings at 2T or higher timings at 1T?

Use a memory benchmark to compare both settings and then chose the one that gives the better results.
