Hello,
I bought a F3-1333C9D-8GSL 8 GB memory kit (2 x 4GB DDR3 SO-DIMM).
http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-1333c9d-8gsl
I installed this memory in my mother's iMac (the 21.5-inch, Mid 2010 model)
Model ID iMac11,2
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201191#2
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMac_%...9#Unibody_iMac
With the new RAM installed, the computer randomly crashes after random times (sometimes during boot, sometimes after using the computer for a few hours).
Sometimes, I just get a crash in an application; sometimes, the whole OS panics and reboots.
Removing the new RAM restores the system's stability.
All the signs point at a faulty RAM module, or some compatibility issue.
Have other people tried using F3-1333C9D-8GSL kit in a 2010 iMac?
I have an Asus laptop that uses DDR3 SO-DIMM, so I can try running memtest86+ on the laptop to determine which module is faulty.
I'd like to hear what you think?
Regards.
