  • Advices to increase DDR3 size

    Hi,

I currently use this kit : G.Skill F3-2133C9D-8GAB and I would like to add 16Gb more as there are two free slots on my motherboard (Asus Z97-A). As we can see, it's CAS 9 (9-11-10-28-2N) / 2133 Mhz / 1.65v (tested voltage)

I saw this product in the same family of product I currently use but the CAS is higher and the voltage lower : G.Skill F3-2133C10D-16GAB
    CAS 10( 10-12-12-31) / 2133 Mhz / 1.6v (tested voltage)

Is that an issue ? Do you recommend me this pack ?

    My CPU is a 4790K

    Thank you

    Hi

Mixing memory kits, even of the same model number, may result in compatibility issue. G.SKILL will guarantee the compatibility for single memory kit only.

However, if you planning mixing the memory kits at the same time, you may have to lower the DRAM frequency to 1866MHz or raising DRAM voltage to make the system getting stable.

And we will not be able to confirm if you will have the compatible issue or not, unless you get the memory kit in hand.
