  • no serial number?

I have the G.SKILL F3-17000CL11-4GBXL and I noticed that CPU-Z does not show a serial number in the SPD

I also noticed that the date of manufacture is also missing.

The memory works fine, no problem, but this is more around the idea of counterfeiting that I have had problems with recently

That is normal for G.SKILL memory. You can find the serial on the sticker at the heatspreader and it does contain the production date in its first few digits (YYWW**).

I also noticed the RAM uses the XMS rather than JEDEC standard entries for 2133 speed.

Guess the SPD needs to be revamped and or revised
