  • F3-14900CL10D-16GBXL Won't boot at 1866

    Motherboard: Intel DZ77BH-55K
    CPU: i5-3550 Stock clocks
    GPU: XFX 7870 Double D
    Ram: 2x8gb 1866 DDR3 Ripjaws - F3-14900CL10D-16GBXL

I have updated the bios to the most recent via the Intel website. I have tried utilizing both XMP profiles and neither will boot. I have tried inputting the timings manually and it still wont boot at 1866. The only way I got it to boot in 1866 was with manual timings and 1.55v The problem with this is it was unstable and had 700+ errors in memtest86 and hung at test 6. It can't even get through all the tests.

Anyone had experience with similar issues on these RAM. Am I SOL and have to live with it at 1333?

    Hi,

Intel motherboard should going to use standard memory kit because they're not overclock boards, for your DZ77BH-55K, will recommend you to use standard 1333MHz for your system.

The Mobo and CPU are rated for 1600MHz and I cant even get the RAM to boot at that. So you are telling me that because the mobo is not an "overclock" board I can't even run the ram at 1600mhz?

Also what is going on with the grammar/ sentence structure of your response?

If possible, post pictures of your BIOS with your bootable 1866 or 1600 settings and I can see if the system is detecting sub timings correctly.
