I have Gigabyte P55A-UD4 with a pair of G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ, means 2x 2GB DDR3. Now iwant to upgrade to a total of 8 GB ram.
Does it make sense to add another pair of the same ram, so that all banks are used - or should i buy a new pair of two 4GB RAM?
Actually the RAMs run with 1600 MHz. If I can use the same rams on 4 baks do i have to change the speed to 1333 MHz ?
If it's better to upgrade with 4GB-rams, which one are running without problems?

    Thanks for Your help

that ram is supposed to run at 1600 mhz. The cheapest alternative is to just buy 2 more sticks just like it. I assume http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231193 is the kit you have. however there is a small chance the two will not work together. If you want to just drop new ram in and ensure it works to spec and is 8 gb buying an 8 gb kit would be reccomended. Either route you choose I reccomend updating the bios before you add any more ram to the mobo.

It should work at 1600 with the current kit and a new one, just might require a couple of bios tweaks.
