  • Missing mem F3-14900CL10Q-32GBZL in a Asus P9x79 pro

New build Asus P9x79 pro/3930K with 4x8G ripjaws Z 1866 in A1-A4. No OS installed yet but it will be windows 7 professional.

Currently bios is only detecting 1 functioning dimm; it can't detect anything in A1, B1 is OK, it lists C1 & D1 as 'abnormal'.

    So far I have:
1)Reseated each dimm & clearly heard them click into place.
2)Switched between xmp & auto settings, also tried manual at 1866 & 1600. I didn't tinker with voltage or latency which xmp had set correctly at 10-11-10-30 1.5V.
3)Upgraded to latest 3009 bios, the problem was also occurring in factory installed 2104.

What's next? Increase voltage? Move dimms between slots?

Try putting the 'good' stick in A1 and a different one B1, if it picks up B1 again but doesn't read A1, sounds like mobo or CPU, might pull CPU check bottom for thermal compound or debris, also check in socket for sam and/or bent broken pins

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
