Haven't seen you in a while, remember the name though Once XMP is enabled - what does it set the CPU multiplier to? I normally start at about 39 or 40 for 2133 sticks - also is it setting the proper base timings. With your mobo may have to set up manually - they had problems getting the BIOS right (actually, don't think they ever did) and then for the most part dropped working with it when the Z77s came out. Can you post your DRAM timings base and advanced/secondary along with your system voltages and CPU multiplier

I'd try a hard reset, then enable XMP and and try - if no joy, then just change the base timings manually to 0-11-10-28, check CR, that it is at 2T or 2N, DRAM voltage 1.66, and take VCCIO up to 1.14

XMP same result.for fun I used OC tuner and it set CPU to 4.3 and ram to 1921 with the correct timings 9-11-10-28-2T.dram was 1.65 VCCIO 1.062.this weekend I will try a manual OC on CPU and set base timings.

You take the VCCIO higher if needed, might even go 1.2 then bring down as needed/possible

Did hard reset set VCCIO to 1.18 CPU multi to 43 enabled XMP set profile to 2133 and it booted up first time and all timings are correct.thank you Tradesman for the help you were right on.seems with ASUS P8Z68 MOBOs you need to up the VCCIO and CPU multi then enable XMP.I will try to not be a stranger and post more over here:P
