    System
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R
    Intel quad core Q9550 2.83ghz, 2834mghz,
Award Bios 2.4 (some time in 2008)
EVGA GTX 550 Ti 1gb video card
    Win 7 pro

I was running 4gb of ram (6400, 800mhz, 2x 2gb) in my system before I removed that and installed 8gb (4x 2gb) of the ram in the subject today. Within 3-4 minutes after the system fully booted up, it froze. No blue screen, it just froze. I rebooted (reset) and it did it again within a minute. I rebooted and it did it again within 30 seconds. I then replace the new ram with the old and it is, once again, running fine. Any suggestions?

So you have 2 sets, just for info, mixing sets can be problematic, but think we can do this, make sure you have the latest BIOS, check BIOS that the base timings are correct (5-5-5-15), CR (Command Rate is at 2T), DRAM Voltage 2.0 and check NB Voltage and raise it .06

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

      What 4 x 2GB did you install?

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

      Thank you
