  • 16GB on Gigabyte EP45-DQ6

Any concerns running 16GB on an EP45-DQ6? From various posts it seems like it is pushing the limits of the P45 chipset.

    BIOS is 13h

CPU is Xeon L5430 @400 FSB

    Looking to run 4x 4GB of DDR2-800

As 4x 4GB kits are hard to come by these days will it make it more difficult by going with two F2-6400CL6D-8GBMQ or F2-6400CL5D-8GBPQ kits?

Are 5-5-5-15 timings realistic with 4x 4GB modules?

No concerns, it should work fine.

You can try two kits, should be able to work fine.

    The 5-5-5-15 timings are realistic with 4 x 4GB
