Problem after change processor

  • Problem after change processor

    After I replace my core2duo by a core2quad q9550 my system restarts while playing a game. With core2duo it Works fine, but with the q9550 it restarts. Hope someone help me to solve the problem.

    motherboard: GA-EP43-DS3L BIOS f8
    Memory: 2x2GB f2-8500cl5d-4gbpq
    Processor: Core 2 Quad q9550
    Graphics: HD4850
    Power: Corsair 450W

    Is that the latest BIOS? What settings did you input for the RAM? Maybe boost DRAM Voltage or MCH Core Voltage a little to see if that helps.

      Latest bios is a beta version F9e. The configs in setup are default as you can see.

            Not even one will boot up?

            Try DDR2-800 4-4-12 2.0V
