  • F3-2400C10D-8GZH RipjawsZ not working at 2400Mhz - BSODs and Memtest errors

    My Specs:
    i5 4690K
    MSI Z97 Gaming 7
    G.Skill F3-2400C10D-8GZH RipjawsZ

I bought these RAMS 2 months ago and after activating XMP mode I started having BSODs. I ran Memtest86+ and they didn't pass it. Then I set them manually at 2400Mhz@1.65V and for a while they seemed to work fine until 2 weeks ago when I got a BSOD. Again, I ran Memtest86+ and they didn't pass it either, though with less errors. I need someone to advice me about what to do. Are they defective or have I missed something?

To check if one may be defective, test one stick at a time to see if you have a problem.

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

Did you set the memory timings along with the frequency and voltage?

That memory kit should work fine with the proper settings.

I have tested them at 1600Mhz each one at a time and no errors.
I checked the timmings and there is nothing to set, they are already set at 10-12-12-31. I have set the voltage manually at 1.65v.

        Post some pictures of BIOS.

What slots do you have the RAM installed in?

RAMs are installed on slots 2 and 4.
Here I uploaded everything from BIOS related with RAM. Hope it helps.

Very strange, everything looks spot on.

Try lowering to DDR3-2133 to see if that works.

I tested them at 2133 and I'm still getting errors...

Send them in to exchange for the Trident X series and that should work better.

Make sure to respond to the RMA email and let them know you have this issue and would like to exchange for the Trident X.
Without notice, they will send you the same item back.
