  • Choice of ram.

    Hello all,

It has been awhile now that I have had my core i7 980x extreme edition with a Rampage III Extreme with some random Corsair memory and a 580gtx superclocked edition but there is an issue now. This memory seems uncompatible with my CPU as my PC often freezes( blue screens appears with memory dump or something like that and PC reboots).

So I came here to simply ask you what G.Skill would be the best but mostly and in same time the most powerful for my setup.

    Thank you!

Its hard to find Triple Channel kits... but

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231359 Is a 1600 MHz kit that should work in your board, 24gb

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231350 12GB 1600 MHz triple channel kit that should work.

Those are the only 2 1600 MHz tri channel kits I really see on newegg that are 1600 MHz right now.

Thank you a lot! But does it necessarily have to be 1600 mhz?

No it doesn't but the options don't get much more plentiful if you go to 1333 as well, a bit cheaper, but mostly just 1333 MHz versions of what I have listed. The tri channel setup died pretty quickly I guess you could go for a 4x4gb kit and run it in dual channel mode if you wanted more options, but the only thing I really see that adding to the "compatibility" list that Gskill provides is 1333 and 1600 mzh snipers.
