[SOLVED]GIGABYTE GA-X48-DQ6 with 8gigs

Hello GSKILL -

I am ready to purchase a new GIGABYTE GA-X48-DQ6 motherboard for a new build and would like to also purchase 8gigs of RAM along with it. I plan to use Vista 64.

I was looking at the DDR2 1066 RAM, model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK (would buy 2 sets).

However, I wanted to ask first if this motherboard was compatible with all 8gigs of this RAM?

yes, this motherboard is compatible with F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
and 2 sets of it work fine, too

Thanks! I will follow the BIOS settings from the PDF document. Will these settings be the same for 8 gigs as well?
