  • [TESTED]Bluescreen F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK and Asus P5Q Pro

    Hello

In the first time, excuse me for my poor english !

I contact you because I have a big problem between my F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK (extreme kit) and my motherboard Asus P5Q Pro.

How to set the Bios of the P5Q pro to avoid problems of incompatibility with F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK ???
Indeed, if I not leave the default settings in the bios, then I have the right to bluescreens and instabilities important with Vista 64, as well as errors in memtest (with timing 5-5-5-15, 1066 MHz, and 2.1 voltage ram).

Similarly my barettes Ram GSkill are accepted only 800 MHz by the BIOS.

Where is the installation guide of P5Q Pro and F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK ???

    Thanks you.

there is no compatibility issue with this combination
and the spec of F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK is DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15@2.1v, so you'll have to set it manually in BIOS
the value in SPD is DDR2 800 5-5-5-15, which is JEDEC standard

But when I returned to the specifications of the F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK manually in the BIOS: DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15@2.1v, my system is unstable (bluescreens), and errors are detected in memtest!

When I do a single strip, everything goes well. As soon as I put the second is that instababilit?s begin!

I am not alone in this problem between the ram and this motherboard: http://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/Hardwar...t_825030_1.htm

Is it not a day to put an SPD of Ram?

I had same kind of issue with a 2gb kit on a P5Q SE

try this set the bios for DDR2 1066mhz
then leave all other settings at auto, cas timeing, voltage, everything to auto. Just set the speed mem speed to 1066.

Try this with only the black slots filled.

I have 1gb in each black slot and it works fine, if I put them in the white slots it crashes.

in our spec, it need 2.0-2.1v to run DDR2 1066
so please add the memory voltage to 2.0-2.1v
            thanks
