  • Memory Unstable - fails memtest & prime95

    My ram: http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=243
    CPU: core i5-750 OC'ed 4ghz

Was getting BSOD because of MEMORYMANAGEMENT when everything was stock.
So i changed in BIOS to manufacturer specs.
    I set voltage to 1.6v
    I set timings to 7-8-7-24 2N

fails PRIME95 blend test in 3 seconds.
    fails memtest.

I then went into BIOS and underclocked to like 1132mhz
    made timings 9-9-9-27
I thought loosening timing make more stable.
    still failing prime95 and memtest.
I even reseated ram and switched sockets too.

If I return everything to stock and change to manufacturer specs and ram cant pass memtest and prime95, then do I have faulty RAM and need to RMA?

Not sure what mobo you have, but might ensure you have the latest BIOS, enable XMP and set speed to 1600 and see what happens

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

      Mobo: ASUS p7p55d-e pro

I enabled XMP and still fails BOTH prime95 and memtest.

Test one at a time to see which may be bad. Send them in for RMA and a replacement kit should work better.
