i wanted to know which of these memories would be optimum for my system

1.F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
2.F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

i have a phenom II x4 925(stock) and asus m4n68t-m mobo.

Later i may upgrade to a bulldozer or sandy bridge based on budget. kindly advise

Either set should be fine, the XLs are made w/ Sandy Bridge in mind, but either works across the board as far as chipsets, if you want to get ready for them, there's a sticky that helps w/ AMD and 1600 sets here:
