upgrade to Dell mini 1012

I was advised to get the G.skill F2-6400CL5S-2GBSQ RAM to upgrade my mini 1012.
I've tried 5 times to install the module, but cannot get to "post" after inserting the hardware.
Just comes up with 5 loud beeps when power is turned on.
Boots fine when I put the original 1gb back in.

Yes, there is a compatibility issue with this particular model. Did you check for the latest BIOS?
