I finally got all four sticks running together, i had to set the MCH/northbridge to 1.34, which is kind of high. I have the memory set to 5-5-5-15 2T with the rest of the settings at auto. I had to run the memory multiplier at 2.5a which is suggested for 266/1066FSB to get the memory to 1000. The FSB is set to 400 and cpu multiplier is set to 9.5, running the cpu at 3.8 GHZ (E8500 cpu). The dram is set to 2.1.
If I set the memory multiplier to 2.66d which is meant for the 400/1600 fsb(options of 2.00d, 2.66d and 3.33d) it will overclock the memory to 1066, which fails prime95 and of course gskill does not confirm that this memory will work over its rated speed, wish I would have picked up the 8500 series. This memory seems extremely picky, i've only got it stable at the previous paragraph settings with memory at 1000.
What I am asking is, should I set the multipliers according to the correct multiplier based on the FSB (2.00d, 2.66d or 3.33d) which would mean either overclocking with an unstable build or underclocking the memory, loosing the memory potential. I am also asking if there are any additional settings beyond the basic 5-5-5-15 2t that is suggested?
