  • Bad stick of memory?

Ok, first of all. Not exactly all the information you need. But I have the statistics of all my computer, it is not retail I custom built it. Below are screen shots.

ok, the problem I am having is I bought 4g ram, F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ is the model, one stick of ram is good the other one is bad. I have done several test on both checked all my sockets all the same results. The same stick keeps reading bad, the other one is fine and works miracles. How do I go abouts to exchanging this bad stick of ram? I bought it from newegg.com I have proof of purchase if need be.

    we'll deal with it
    thanks

I don't know what you mean by would I like to install them on slot 2&4 to run in dual channel? .. I want them both to work so that I have 4g of ram so I can indeed multitask in Vista, cause right now it is painstaking tabbing through multiple windows w/ only 2g of ram

If I can not get this stick of RaM to work I would like to RMA with you, one thing where can I find the RMA website at? I looked but could not find it. Thanks much.

in CPU-Z, we saw you install 2 sticks in slot 2 and 3, which would not enable dual channel

and for the RMA form, you could find here:
        http://newgskill.web-bi.net/bbs/view..._Download&no=2

        or directly download from here:

I see what you are saying now. Could this be the cause of the Blue screen I was getting and the random errors with random programs constantly. So installing on slots 2&4 will fix the issue, can this be the same as using 1&3?

Ok, all sounds good, I have the form filled out ready to send in.. Just one question.. I bought the pack that came with 2 2gig rams, if only one is bad, do I have to send back both or just the one that is bad?

we'd recommend you to send back both sticks, because we always test one pair together
if you only send back one stick, it is still acceptable
but we can't be 100% sure if the one would match your original one
                thanks
