  • memory upgrade issues

I have been trying to upgrade my old system with more memory, It can hold 3 gbs and I have run on two sticks of Micron a long time.

    System specs:
Model of the motherboard: Gigabyte GA 7VT600-L
Model of the memory: f1-3200phu2-2gbns (from Newegg)
Model of the CPU:AMD Athlon XP 3000+ Barton

When I start the system Oc'd it stops during post and restarts in default mode, sometimes it posts twice before it will load the OS. When I tried to play BF2 it caused a BSOD. I tried it with auto and manual settings in BIOS memory timings, with the cpu, agp, and memory voltage at min-mid-and max settings. Can this board run this memory , Or do i need a different type? Can you recommend the right memory to max out the board to 3 gbs? I also ordered F1-3200PHU1-1GBZX as I thought it would work with the phu2 to get me to 3 gigs.
    What do I do?

Make sure memory voltage is set to 2.75V.

You should not mix and match memory. They should all be the same model.

    Thank you

How can I set the memory voltage to 2.75 volts?

Memory Voltage can be changed in the BIOS. Refer to your motherboard user's manual for further details.

You need to stick with the same model memory, so whichever you choose.

        Thank you
