Hello.
I posted a similar post at DFI and tomshardware.com. DFI said it wouldn't work, toms hardware said it was a voltage issue, yet no responses.
I have an issue with RAM / timing etc (maybe voltage) not sure.
I have the following four sticks of RAM:
2 modules:
RAM Specifications: DDR2-800/PC2-6400 / 2GB x 2 / CL6-6-6-18 1.8v-1.9v
Part Number: F2-6400CL6S-4GBMQ (GSkill)
2 modules:
RAM Specifications: DDR2-800/PC2-6400 / 2GB x 2 / CL5-5-5-15 1.8v-1.9v
Part Number: F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ (Gskill)
Question 1: I'm trying to run 8 gb in my system (specifications below), currently I am using F2-6400CL6S-4GBMQ and when adding the F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ, my system will not post, should I just give up on mixing and matching the different timing RAM?
Question 2: If this should work, should I leave settings at auto and just adjust voltage? What should I do to get this to work then? Should I force timings? Should I force voltage, I have tried both and neither seem to work.
Question 3: If system posts and boots up, I can only assume that the RAM is fine ... would that be valid? (I have been able to post the system and boot into Vista with each set of RAM modules - to verify if RAM is bad or not)
Thanks for your help!
