i have set mem to 1333mhz in bios because if i set it to auto it only goes to 1066mhz. when i changed it to 1333mhz the voltage went from 1.5 up to 1.6. i want to know if i can manually set back to 1.5v and still have it at 1333mhz?( and still be stable).
i have :
core i7 920 at stock ( intel turbo-boost and h.t. enabled)
3gb gskill f3-10666cl9t tri-channel
gigabyte EX58-UD5 with latest F4 bios
radeon HD3870X2
i have no complaints, my new system is running great, but id rather have the volts as low as possible.
my second question is about the heat spreader: is there a way to remove the heat-spreaders safely? ( i wish to install thermalright high-tower ram heat-spreaders)
thanks for your help
