  • F2-8500CL5D-2GBPK best voltages...

    Hi,

    After reloading the BIOS 1102 defaults on my Asus P5E, I get the following voltages with Everest :
    @1066Mhz -> 2.27V with Auto
    @800Mhz -> 2.02V with Auto

    When I set manually a voltage nothing change !

    What is your feeling about ?

      Here it is !

      I think it is proper to the 1.03GA boards !

      Is this value too high and capable to damage the RAM ?

        for the auto voltage, we are not sure how much voltage motherboard would add to the memory
        it would differ on different motherboards
        so, we'd recommend you to set it manually in BIOS to 2.0-2.1v while running at DDR2 1066
        thanks

          My screenshot is for 2.0V set manually into the BIOS.
          With any other value Everest shows 2.27V...

            then you have to ask your motherboard manufacturer for the problem, 'coz the how many voltage applied to memory depends on motherboard, not memory itself
            thanks

              Obviously it's a MB problem !

              The only thing I wanted to know was the risks for my RAM, but you're not capable to answer ?

              Never mind, I don't care, I leave this forum !

              Regards,

                we only guaranteed for normal use under our spec, 'coz it's tested by us
                while you are running out of spec, there is always risk
