  • F1-3200PHU2-2GBNS Optimum Timings

    Hello all:
    Asus A8N32SLI Deluxe
    Vista Ultimate x64
    4gb F1-3200PHU2-2GBNS (4 sticks total)

System is running great. Using Cool and Quiet (NOT overclocked). What can I do to improve?

    I understand timings are: 2.5-3-3-6

With my setup, please help with the following BIOS memory options:
MTRR Mapping - currently set to Continiuos
1T/2T Memory Timing - with 4 sticks I understand this must be at 2T, which it is
    TREF - 3.9us, 7.8us, or 15.6us (currently in Auto)
    TWCL - 1 or 2 (currently Auto = 1)
    R/W Queue Bypass Count - 2, 4, 8 or 16 (currently Auto = 8)
    Bypass Max - 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,or 7 (curently Auto = 4)
    Idle Cycle Limit - 0, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256 (currently Auto =16)
Dynamic Idle Cycle Center - Enable or Disable (currently Auto = Enabled)
DDR Drving Strength - Normal or Weak (Auto = Normal)
Enable 32 Byte Granularity - Enabled or Disabled (Auto = Enabled)
DDR Input Strobe Skew - Disabled, Slower, Faster (Auto = Disabled)
    Burst Length - 8 beats, 4 beats or 2 beats (Auto = 4 beats)
    Tcl - 2.5
    Trcd - 3
    Tras - 6
    Trp - 3
    Trrd - Auto
    Trc - Auto
    Trfc - Auto
    Trwt - Auto
    Read Preamble - Auto
    Asynchronous Latency - Auto

I didn't list everything such as ECC, which should be disabled with this memory, I believe. Please provide input as to which settings for the items I have in Auto I could use to get the MOST from this memory.

I should add that I have the DDR Core Voltage set to 2.65 because every program I've used to read it reports as 2.5. Any program that can read the actual volatage at the DDR core?

    Thanks all.

we'd recommend you to keep those default, 'coz it's already difficult enough to run DDR 400 with 4 sticks
and any overclocking is not guaranteed, either
especially NS series is only for standard use, not overclocking
    thanks

      GS,
Thanks for the quick response. I'll so as you recommend, as I'm certainly not having any issues. Thanks for the great product!
