  • DDR2 vs DDR3 CL

Im basically a DDR2 man, meaning that is all that I have worked with. With this DD3 out now and becoming more popular I was in a conversation with a gentleman that raised my eyebrows a lil.

I was told with DDR3 the higher the CL the better (in fear of being banned I wont tell you my reply to him). Anyways.......is there any truth to that??

hahaha no, he probably just noticed that most DDR3-2000+ are CL9, but that's just because the frequency is so high.

DDR3, along with the new platforms, are worlds apart from DDR2. =P technology just does not slow down.

    Thank you

Wikipedia has a pretty good explanation, there are others, many get more technical as well as others that are basic, this is a nice in-between:
