  • F2-8500-CL5D-4GBPK memtest error

    Hello everybody,

    Motherboard : P5Q Deluxe (BIOS 1406)
    Processor : Q9550

I ran this kit at 1066 / 2.1V / 5-5-5-15 for 2 weeks but since some days, my vista 32 starts to have BSOD.

Ok so I ran memtest on each stick without errors but when the kit is in dual channel it always gives the same error I mean at the same physical address 83.6MB (or something like that) in Test 5

So I found threads on your forum giving me some ways to study.
    • Tried the memory in slot 1 and 3, then in slot 2 and 4 (no errors in single channel but the same error in dual channel)
    • Tried 2.1V then 2.2V
    • Tried to raise FSB voltage to 1.4V
    • Tried to cool the RAM
    • Tried it at 800 with default settings in bios
    • Tried it on a P5Q same thing (Same address but at Test 2)
    • Tried Crucial Ballistix at 800 / 4-4-4-12 / 2.1V without problems

Can you confirm that it's a RAM problem ? I think so
But I want to be sure before contacting my local dealer.

    Thanks

PS: excuse my english if it's too bad ...

it seemed one or two sticks are defective, so they can't run in dual channel
you could contact with your local reseller first
    thanks
