  • PI Black DDR2 PC2 7200 CL4 4GB Kit on GA-EP45-DS3

    hi

I would like to know how to configure my system to run my ram on 900MHZ an best preformance.

I tried setting up manually with 2.1V and mem Clock 889mhz(that what written in the bios) and had no post.

my system work well on mem clock 800mhz and spd auto profile 1 (4-4-4-12) .

    my system spec:

    MotherBoard : Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3
    Bios Ver : F9
    Memory : PI Black G.SKILL DDR2 PC2 7200 CL4 4GB Kit
    Cpu : Intel Core2 Due E7300

    Thanks in advance
    Roy

running DDR2 900, you'll need to overclock your CPU first, and you have to make sure your CPU could be overclocked
    thanks

      Thanks for your replay

to what freq should I overclock?
should i change only the fsb?

I dont understand why, the memory controller freq in the north bridge use diffrent clock then the cpu. the north bridge should do the buffering between them no?(the fsb & mem)

your default fsb is 266, you need to at least add it to 300 to run DDR2 900
there are different ratio to set between FSB and dram frequency, not only 1:1
        thanks
