  • going to buy ddr2 for my board and have a ?

ok i have a asus rampage formula x48 board(running te latest bios) and a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3.0GHz cpu.now im thinking of buying 2 kits of G.SKILL 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1200 (PC2 9600) Dual Channel Kit from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231201 .now does anyone know if this can run stable on my board and and can they be overclocked alittle above 1200mhz lets say 1227mhz cuz i saw a setting for that speed in the dram timings along with other speeds or is it best to run them at there stock speed.also if someone could give me the timings for eathier the stock speed or the overclock timings if it can be overclock that would be great and i would pariciate it.thanks.

as we tested, it seems there are no 4 sticks of memory could run DDR2 1200 stable together
if you only install one pair, it is guaranteed to run DDR2 1200 or more

    please notice our website:

"G.Skill guarantees 2 Dimms Dual channel operation would reach announced specification."
    4 sticks are not guaranteed
    thanks
