  • DFI NF4 Ultra-D with 4x F1-4000USU2

Hello, can you guys provide me BIOS settings for the DFI NF4 Ultra-D with 4x 1GB ?

My bios recognize the 4Gb (even that i use WinXP SP3, that only recognize 3Gb)
I loaded the bios defaults, set for 250Mhz, 2T and 3-4-4-8 2.6V. Cpu AMD 64 3200+ is at 250x10 (worked flawless with 2x1GB) but now im getting some hardcore bluescreens and restarts.
Can i get some support in bios settings.

    Best regards

you have to have a 64 bit operating system to run the extra ram. i can't find it but somewhere at microsoft there was a page that listed all the systems with it's max amout of usable ram.
i had win xp 32 bit, thats why i never bought the extra ram. now that i have win 7 i am trying to find a matched pair.

Do you have the command rate at 2T, may have to raise voltage on the NB and what's your tRFC?

          nvm, i leave setting here:
          4x1Gb F1-4000USU2
          DFI NF4 Ultra-D
          Bios 704-2BTA
          AMD 3200+

-Under "Advanced chipset features", put "Memory hole for PCI MMIO" in "Enable", this will allow BIOS to recogize 4Gb of RAM (attention 32Bits windows only detects 3GB, you need a 64Bits to get full use of 4Gb).

          -DRAM voltage control: 2.60V
FSB Bus Frequency: 260 (default for memory is 250)

          Dram Configuration:
          DRAM Frequency Set (200 1:1)
          CPC: Disable
          TCL: 3
          TRCD: 4
          TRAS: 8
TRP: 3 (memory default is 4)
          TRC: 7
          TRFC: 14
          TRRD: 2
          TWR: 2
          TWTR: 2
          TRWT: 3
          TREF: 3684
          DRAM Bank Interleave: Disable

          DQS Skew Control: Decrease Skew
          DQA Skew Value: 128
          DRAM Drive Strenght: Weak 3
          DRAM Data Drive Strenght: 2
          Max Async Latency: 11.0
          DRAM Response Time: Normal
          Read Preamble Time: 8.5
          IdleCycle Limit: 16
          Dynamic Counter: Disable
          R/W Queue Bypass: 16x
          Bypass Max: 07
32 Byte Granularity: Disable (4 Bursts)

          Test with MemTest86 (test 2, 5 and 8) and superpi 32
stable with CPU at 2.6Ghz and ddr520

You may need to raise NB Voltage and tRFC, but that is all.

                Thank you
