  • 2x1gb + 2x2gb?

    i currently run:
-GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 (rev. 1.3) LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
    -Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 Allendale 1.8GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
-XFX PVT71JUHE4 GeForce 7950GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported HDCP Video Card
    -G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ
    -Windows XP Pro

i was wondering if i upgraded to vista ultimate, and added:
    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ
would i be able to run all 6Gb in dual channel mode and would it work at all?

as long as they are in different channel, you should be ok.

make sure you have memory voltage 1.9v set on bios
