    Memory [ Perfect Storm] F3-17066CL9T-6GBPS
    Maiboard Gigabyte ga-ex58 extreme
    Processor I7 950 (d0)
    Windows vista x64

Hi, i'm having a lot of issues with this config, is related with the memory. Basically i'm not able to make them work at the stock speed and timmings, (2133@ 9-9-9-24).

I've tried enabling the xmp profile: The computer it's not able to boot, black screen and the mainboard's lcd shows the "c1" code (the manual says Detect memory auto-detection of dram size, type and ecc)

Setting up all the settings manually, memory multiplier, timmings, advanced timmings, voltages..., same result as enabling xmp profile.

Using the settings for the F3-16000CL8/9T-6GBPS + Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R BIOS config from the DDR3 BIOS Configuration Guides in this forum, same result.

The memory just work fine at 1600mhz-1830mhz, i've tested it with memtest and seems to be fine.
    Any recomendation?

In my opinion it's a problem related with this mainboard, i saw more problems with other memories at 2ghz or higher speeds, should i change the maiboard?

    Thanks.

    Try the following settings:

    In MIT (MB Intelligent Tweaker):

    CPU Clock Ratio - 14x for 3.6GHz
    QPI Link Speed - AUTO
    Base Clock Control - Enabled
    BCLK Frequency - 200
    Performance Enhance - Standard
    Extreme Memory Profile - Disabled
    System Memory Multiplier - 10

    Uncore & QPI Features
    Uncore Frequency - 4000

    DRAM Timing Selectable - Manual

    CAS Latency Time - 9
    tRCD - 9
    tRP - 9
    tRAS - 24

Enter these for the other three as well.

    Channel A Timing Settings

    Advanced Timings
    Command Rate - 2

    Advanced Voltage Control
    Load-Line Calibration - Disabled
    CPU Vcore - 1.25V
    QPI/VTT Voltage - 1.40V or 1.50V
    CPU PLL - 1.900V

    PCIE - AUTO
    QPI PLL - 1.300V
    IOH Core - 1.400V
    ICH I/O - 1.600V
    ICH Core - 1.300V
    DRAM Voltage - 1.640V
    Rest to AUTO

This motherboard simply needs a high QPI Voltage to run a high BCLK. Let me know how that goes.

Do you have the latest BIOS?

    Thank you

I'm testing your configuraton right now, the pc was able to boot correctly and now is running a prime94, so far no errors.

By the way, i have the lastest bios version, f9.

      Thanks
