  • G.Skill F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD @ 2000Mhz on DFI LANPARTY UT X58-T3eH8

    Here is my configuration:

    DFI LANPARTY UT X58-T3eH8
    G.Skill F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD
    Intel Core i7 920, D0 Stepping
    Enermax Galaxy EVO 1250w
    Heatsink:Prolimatech Megahalem-Push
    Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4850 X2 2GB
    Windows 7

To test stability, I am doing:

    Prime95 (Custom - Duration: 1320 minutes)
    -Min. FFT size (in K) : 8k
    -Max FFT size : 4096k
-Memory to use (in MB) : Max available in OS-100 MB

With these BIOS settings I am getting BSOD within 1 min of running Prime95. I either get error x101, or x124. For 101, I have been increasing CPU VCore by one notch. For 124 I have been increasing Uncore by one notch. I started at stock and 20x 200BLCK so I can get RAM at 2000Mhz.

How high am I going to have to go? Do you recommend different settings for stability b/c right now there is non under stress.

I made your suggested changes and after 1 min of Prime 95 test as outlined in OP, I received BSOD STOP 0x00000124

      What now?

Have you tried my same setup, or are you just making educated suggestions?

Well they are simply settings that need to be set properly for that specific hardware. The memory should not be AUTO timings with 11-11-11 timings, that simply causes instability.

        Try the following settings:

        Genie BIOS Setting

Let me know how that goes. The key is to find the pin point voltages for DDR3-2000 with a CPU overclock. You may want to work your way up rather than trying to get straight to it. Not all 920's can do 4.0GHz with DDR3-2000.

4Ghz was the goal. I will try your settings.

You will need to work your way up to get spot on voltages for that motherboard and processor. 4.0GHz with DDR3-2000 is not simple with a 920.

Change timings to AUTO, the motherboard may want them slightly different.

REF to ACT Delay (tRFC): AUTO
Write to PRE Delay (tWR): AUTO
Rank Write to Read (tWTR): AUTO
ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD): AUTO
                        Row Cycle Time (tRC): AUTO
                        Read CAS# Precharge (tRTP): AUTO
Four ACT WIN Time (tFAW): AUTO

Have you tried testing each module individually to make sure none is bad?

Keep us posted on the results.

                        Thank you

Simply increase the tRC, 31 may be too tight for DDR3-2000.

                            Thank you
