Asus P5K-E Deluxe WiFi AP/F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

Hi,

I just installed 2 F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK kits for 8GB total in an Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi AP (0902 BIOS ) which is apparently certified to run 4 of these DIMMs at 1066 based on your 1066.pdf document. Unfortunately the computer fails Memtest after only 10 minutes at 1066 but will pass Memtest at 1002 with 8GB. The computer will also pass Memtest at 1066 when running EACH pair by themselves ( 4GB at once, either set ).

The BIOS has been configured EXACTLY as illustrated in your PDF showing the proper settings for this motherboard.

Do I have a defective module somewhere eventhough they work as separate 4GB kits?

running 4 sticks will be more difficult than 2 sticks
so, you may need to add more FSB and NB voltage in BIOS

Tried increasing both of these voltages and it still fails Memtest @ 1066. @1002 passes Memtest.

I've read a response elsewhere by one of your techs indicating that all 4 sticks should be matched to gaurantee compatibility at 1066 with 8GB. Is this true and how do I do this when the retailer only carries matched sets of 2 DIMMs?
