  • F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ for a Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6

Could you recommend some timing settings for the following:

    Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD6
    Memory - F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ 2 sets (8GB total, 4 modules)
    CPU - I7 860 Lynnfield

    Thank you!

You'll want to start with updating the BIOS to either the current - F4 8/231/2009 or possibly the new Beta F5d, 9/22/2009 (which improves on OC capability) if you haven't already, then manually setting the stock timings 9-9-9-24, command rate at 2T, and DRAM voltage at 1.8, (which may be able to reduce after stable). Once that's done you may be fine (I haven't used the beta BIOS yet). If not then you would get into fine tuning voltages and advanced RAM timings.

So, if you try the above and have problems when you return, would be nice if you could post your BIOS settings.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

IMC Voltage needs to be set at 1.4V for 8GB (4 sticks). Please let us know if you encounter any further issues.
