F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD Only 3GB out of 4B showing

Mobo: Asus P7P55 EVO
Memory: G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) Trident PC3-16000 9-9-9-27 F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD
Processor: Intel i5

Only 3GB out of 4GB is showing in Windows XP 32-bit. Bios shows 4GB. Any ideas? I'm not a computer expert, and I'm a few years out of the loop with most of the stuff I did know.

This is because the 32-bit version of XP will only show up to 3.25Gb of memory if I remember right. If you switch to 64-bit Vista or Win 7 then all 4 gigs of ram should be in use.

Check the System tab in Control Panel to see what it is showing. You may have .25GB shared as physical memory, but TehBooyaah is right in that all 32 bit Windows systems will only read up to 3.25GB.
