  • MacBook Pro + Falcon + Boot Camp doesnt work

    Hi
I have a late 2007 MBP that I have been using with a 64GB Falcon for the last month or so quite happily.

Over the weekend I attempted to install Windows 7, but could not. Basically, with the SSD installed in the MBP it will not boot any Windows disk. This includes the installation DVD, a hard disk with it installed, or it would appear anything that relies on BIOS emulation.

They have the same problem with the OCZ drives:

Is this something that G.Skill is aware of? Presumably it will be fixed at some point when a new firmware is released by Indillinx, but we have been waiting a while for it now :-(

Now I can't decide whether to ditch the SSD altogether, or maybe to buy an Intel one instead. The annoying thing is that I can't return it now, so I will have to stick it on ebay and lose money on it.

Does anyone have any similar experiences?
    Thanks
    Kevin

I only installed xp on my falcon 128G with bootcamp without issue.
I found if i let the default format (fat32) from bootcamp assistant , somehow, it won't reboot after install winxp. I have to use ntfs to quick format that partition.
