  • Suggested DDR4 Memory for Asus Motherboard and i7-6700K CPU???

    Hello.

This is my first post on this forum.

I'm upgrading my PC to include an Asus motherboard and a new CPU and I need assistance in choosing the RAM.

The motherboard will be the Asus Rog Maximus VIII Hero LGA 1151 Intel Z170 (https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboa...MUS-VIII-HERO/) and the cpu wil be an Intel Core i7-6700K.

I've read that some people stick with Intel's maximum recommendation of 2133MHzith. While others use 3000 or 32000.

I'm just not sure. Also, is recommended to get 2xGB set or the 4x4?

Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks very much.

    P.S. I do not overclock.

Either way, less modules is better.

Anything from their QVL (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...Memory_QVL.pdf) should(tm) work fine.

      On that same board I have a F4-3000C15D-32GTZ kit (TridentZ Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000).

Like GSKILL_TECH said, try to stick to dual stick kits for best performance - so have your pick from that list (from GKILL memory modules of course .
