KM780 number lights are dim. Anyone else?

Loving my new KM780 non-RGB. But lights on the number keys (not the numpad keys) are dim. Instead, the Shift characters (!@#$%^&*()_+) are lit up good. The numbers themselves are dim.

Is this a glitch with my keyboard, or do others have the same effect?

If you remove the keycaps, you'll see that the LEDs are positioned at the top. It's working as designed.

G.skill could have made a better design on keys. Big key characters like Corsair's.
It is dim because it get less illumination from LEDs.
