  • ROG Maximus VIII Impact RAM

Is there a dual cannel kit that has similar or better performance as the F4-3000C14-8GVK for use with ROG Maximus VIII Impact, overclocked?

At what settings are you using your F4-3000C14D-16GVK when they are overclocked? It is hard to compare anything to an unknown value.

At stock settings there are dozens of faster kits. Among the available ones the usual suspects probably would be F4-3200C14D-16GTZ, F4-3600C16D-16GTZ, F4-3600C16D-16GVK, F4-3600C15D-16GTZ and F4-3733C17D-16GTZA. All of those should have quite a bit of OC potential left in them, esp at higher volts.

      Thank you for your suggestions.
Forgot to mention that everything is stock settings.

I go for either F4-4000C19D-16GTZ or F4-4000C19D-8GTZ and use stock settings.

So what about the overclocking part then? x)

So with no overclocking of these two kits i'd probably get the F4-4000C19D-16GTZ, but they might need manual settings anyways because DDR4-4000 is already on the extreme end for Skylake.

I thought maybe it would be better to get DDR4-4000 and use it up to whatever speed my CPU will allow instead of getting DDR4-2600 and over clock it. As an example.

However I ended up getting Trident Z F4-3200C14D-32GTZ.
