  • New build; Latency using 2 or 4 modules

    New build; i7-6700K, Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7, Samsung SM950 Pro.
Will using four modules be slower than using two modules (latency)?
    Latency for F4-3200C14Q-64GTZ and F4-3200C14D-32GTZ?
Is there really any gain by using 64 GB of RAM or will diminishing of return set inn after two modules of 32GB or is there more to it than meets the eye?
I assume Trident Z has the best heat dissipation.

It simply depends whether you need that much available RAM. Or if you want to do a RAMdisk or something, then having that additional RAM is beneficial. Otherwise 64GB may be unnecessary if you never use beyond 30GB at a time.

      What about Latency?

Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated.

Less modules and capacity will have less latency but that is not of major concern as the difference will not be much noticeable.
