  • this G.Skill V Ram With This Motherboard, Quad Channel?

    Hi All.
So I want to get this ram here, and I am wondering if it will run in quad channel mode if installed properly. According to the Motherboard (below) manufacturer you have to install 64GB, (4X16) in every other slot. I thought if I buy this ram with the motherboard below, this would run in quad.
Am I wrong, or does the ram have to say, “quad channel” on it? I know it doesn’t look it, but I did read the stickies about ram, and I am just not sure. This is too expensive of a mistake to make.
    Thank you for your help!

    The Ram: 64 Gig (4X16)

The motherboard: It takes max of 128GB (8X16)

Check with AsRock to see if they have tested with 16GB G.Skill modules. The chip set supports 16GB modules, but some UEFI can not support it yet, so it depends on the board manufacturer.

As far as dual or quad, it doesn't matter.

Oh! Thank you for answering. Yes, I called them and they seemed to say something along the line of if I buy it, they can not guarantee that it will work to full speed. He was vague. IDK why they do not make it their mission to test as much ram as possible. What they have on their list is months old, and none of the new stuff is listed.
