Ripjaws V Quad command rate

Hi,

Myself and at least one other i know of can't change the cmd rate for 3466c16 kits on Z170. I need to drop freq down to 2800 before it'll boot 1t. Both using the same mobo but the other person has also tested with another manufacturers board, same result.

EDIT: 3 sticks 1t no problem, 4 sticks not a chance.

Any idea why this is?

By the way, fantastic mem. Can run 3600c11 on both 2 sticks and 4 <1.9v. Dual 3600 kit i have does the same.

1T is difficult for 2+ modules.

Hmm, still, using 3466c16 xmp timings would have though 1t would have been possible before 2800...

These are all 4 dimm, 1t, and tighter than 3466c16 xmp profile...

3400c11 1t on x99 no problem. Same volts, might even be lower. Not sure why they won't go 1t on Z170 when other kits will. Is this something you can look into without the generic 1t is difficult answer?
